There are two timers available. The session timer was explained in The Interface page. There’s a second countdown timer to help you write under the constraint of time.
The status bar includes a timer that is activated when you start typing. You can pause it via Tools > Pause Status Bar Timer
Note: the status bar activates when you hover around the bottom of the editor
When activated, this timer will hide itself and a subtle countdown bar will appear at the top of the editor. When the time completes, the timer will pop up.
